Jerusalem: The Latin Patriarchate of the Holy City of Jerusalem in the context of the Coronation has issued instructions for the Holy Week. The Holy Week of the Holy Land will be held on March 25 following orders issued by the Congregation for Worship and the Eastern Church. According to the guidelines, the “Olive Chili” will not take place in Jerusalem on Sunday. Archbishop Pierbatista Pisabella, the Vatican’s representative in the Holy Land, said the new decisions, which had not yet been experienced, were compulsory. He said he would shorten the celebrations in the tomb where Jesus’ Church is located, and he would not abandon the observances on Saturday, Sunday, or Good Friday.
In Arabic, the three-day rituals will take place at the Patriarchate’s Co-op Cathedral. He has also asked the clergy to receive a blessed olive branch and water-filled bottles of winged Hannan in advance. He also announced that Chrism Mass has been postponed to Pentecost. The three-day Passover rituals at the Cathedral Church are televised in various languages around the world. Archbishop Pierbatista concludes the holy week by urging people to remember the coronavirus in prayer.
