Kochi: The Malayalee clergy in Rome composed beautiful songs during the Quarantine days in the rooms. The song “Heal Us O Lord”, which was released from its place of residence, is now hitting the national borders. With the scholarship of the Oriental Congregation, there are seventy clergymen in the Syro Malabar and Syro-Malankara Reith’s who are studying in Damashino College in Rome.
Archbishop of Ernakulam Angamaly The lyrics were penned by Nibin Kurisunkal. Fellow Fr. Renault Karathara and Fr. Paul Robin co-wrote the melody. Fr. The song was sent to Nib’s Switzerland friend Geo Abraham. He was joined by Catherine Zimmerman and Ian Jayden. Orchestration completed in Switzerland.
Video footage of the song has been completed in and around the campus of Rome’s College campus. Fr. Jerry Alex on Camera and Fr. Jobs also edited. The filming and related work of the song was in keeping with the laws of the Quarantine. Rector of the college, OCD priest Dr. Varghese accompanied the crusaders.
