An eighth-year student of the Carmelite Church died of a heart attack. Brother Peter Nixon DeSilva was a Regency Student of St. Pius Tenth Monastery, Maroor Pius Nagar. Br. Nixon DeSilva died of a heart attack at 8 in the morning on Saturday, June 27, 2020. Brother Nixon was a member of St. Joseph Parish, Thevara, Ernakulam.
In the morning after the Holy Mass, he went down for a walk with a priest in the ashram. He was taken to the hospital after suffering headaches and shortness of breath at the hairpin bend of Marayoor Kanthalloor road but died en route. He was a member of Thevara Maliyakkal family. His father died 3 years ago. The corpse is being taken by the forensics for testing and subsequent post-mortem.
