Pope Francis in his meeting with the officials and representatives of the Italian Ecclesiastical Museums Association described that the big and small ecclesiastical museums in a nation collaborate with museums of other religions in order to create humanity of brothers and sisters. The Holy Father stated that the ecclesiastical museums have involved in the mission of documenting the Journey of the Church through worship, Catechesis, Culture, and Charity. In the Journey made over the centuries.
The Pope expressed his concern over the fact that the heritage of the city being treated and urged to build a habitable city by integrating the history, culture, and Architecture of a given place. According to the Holy Father, this can be done by integrating the technical language to engage in dialogue with the Popular Language. This will help in building bonds among the people.
Pope Francis reminded AMEI members that they represent the face of the church and they represent the vocation to communicate the message of the good news. He also stated that the ecclesiastical museums resonate with the holiness of the church which is the truest beauty of the church.
