Varappuzha: In the backdrop of the Covid 19 pestilence and the lockdown, the Archdiocese of the Varappuzha arises with the loving acts of caring and the hands of prayer. The Archdiocese of Verapuzha, led by Archbishop Joseph Kalathiparambil, conducted the ecumenical eucharistic worship as a spiritual defense against the scourge that has plagued the world.
There were about two hundred priests serving in the Archdiocese and abroad. The Akhandha Eucharistic Worship was held from 8 am to 8 pm every day from Friday 17 April to Saturday 25 April. The clergy practiced at the churches, institutions, and monasteries where they were held and participated in this prayer service. The prayer was prepared with the cooperation of the Vicar of the Forum of the 8 Foranes under the leadership of the Proclamation Commission. Special prayers were raised for the people of the world and for the sick.
