His Grace Mar Joseph Pamplany, the Auxiliary Bishop of Tellicherry, urged the faithful to be humble in their lives and highlighted that being humble is a grace of God. Mar Pamplany was addressing the faithful gathered at Bharananganam Church during the celebration of the Holy Mass as a part of the Feast of St. Alphonsa.
As reported by deepika.com, Mar Joseph Pamplany remarked that “Bowing your head, joining hands, speaking slow, are not necessarily proving that you are being humble. These outward appearances and show-offs will never be able to define humbleness. When you forget to glorify the Lord’s name through your words and deeds, you are slowly getting away from God’s grace and an impure evil of pride gets into you for destruction. Humbleness is the distance between evil and good.”
Mar Pamplany concluded his remarks by highlighting the significance of being humble in life and asked the faithful to be humble and calm like St. Alphonsa in order to receive the light and grace of the Lord Almighty.
