Budapest: Hungarian MP Salt Nemeth, the Fidesz party’s representative, says the discussion of the persecuted Christian community needs to be more acceptable from international forums. He was speaking at an international conference in Hungary to discuss the persecution of Christians. Salt Nemeth is also the head of the Foreign Affairs Committee in Parliament. He also suggested making fundamental changes in diplomatic relations so that they could speak openly about Christian persecution.
He said that trying to promote religious liberty without mentioning the persecution of Christians is akin to fighting communalism without referring to anti-Semitism. Salt Nemat said that the disappearance of Christians would deprive them of their culture and faith, which is why Hungary’s persecution helps Christian communities. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and several other Christian leaders were part of the international conference in Budapest.
