Vatican City: The Vatican has announced the topic of meditation for the Eucharistic Week to be celebrated in January next year. “I am the vine, you are the branches. The theme of church meditation is the Word of the Gospel of St. John, “Whoever abides in Me and I in him, he will bring forth much fruit.” The Christian Unity Week will be held from January 18 to 25 next year. The resolution for next year was chosen by members of the Grand Champ Champ Ecclesiastical Society of Switzerland.
Readings and meditations on weekly church prayer services are based on the lives of sisters who embody the spirituality of living as branches of the vine, prepared by Christ, the sower and farmer of God’s Word. The resolution refers to the meditation that individuals who are in union with Christ will live in harmony with their brothers on earth, as did Taichi Hedi. In a statement, the Vatican says that the love and unity of the brothers must grow in solidarity with the whole creation.
