Vellayamkudy: Idukki diocese celebrated an extraordinary missionary celebration that concluded on 18th November 2019. The great assembly which became a milestone in the history of the diocese became a proclamation of the mission of faith and the mission of the Syro-Malabar Church. Shamshabad Bishop Mar Rafael Thattil inaugurated the gathering in the presence of hundreds of clergy, thousands of devotees, parishioners, and devotees.
Mar Rafael Thattil said that the churches are the basis of the discipline of family relationships and the livelihood of the dedicated. Idukki Archbishop Mar John Nellikunnell presided over the meet. Mar Nellikunnel urged the Catholic Church to be vigilant not to neglect its contributions to India. DCL Kochhetan and Rev. Fr. Roy Kannanchira gave the keynote address. He said the recent attack on the Christian church cannot be missed.
