New Delhi: The Syro-Malabar Diocese of Faridabad in Delhi has decided to provide lodging facilities for expatriates in Kerala. The seminary for the Diocese of Thommankuthu near Thodupuzha was given to the government to facilitate the isolation. Forty people can live there. The District Collector and the village authorities have taken note of this.
The announcement was made by the Chairman of the Idukki District Disaster Risk Authority. Archbishop Mar Kuriakose Parchikulangara said the Catholic Church and the Faridabad diocese would cooperate with all initiatives for the good of the community. Fr. Jacob Nagelimal and Fr. Arun Matthathumpathi is the co-ordinator of the necessary facilities for those visiting Thomankudi.
