Year of St. Joseph was inaugurated on 26th January 2020. The ceremony was held at St. Joseph’s Forane Church, Powai, amidst a chosen gathering.
Rev. Fr. Joju Arackel welcomed His Excellency Bishop Mar Thomas Elavanal and other dignitaries to the occasion. Further, Rev. Msgr. Francis Eluvathingal explained the ‘Patris Corde’, the apostolic letter issued by Pope Francis.
The event was officially inaugurated by lighting of the lamp by His Excellency, executives from KLM, and Pithruvedi. Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Kadankavil addressed the viewers and explained the indulgence in accord to the penitentiary issued by the Holy See.
The day concluded with the felicitation of Mrs. Anna Prince, who drafted the diocesan logo for the year of St. Joseph.
