The Indian Theological Association (ITA) which had gathered for its annual meet cum Conference in Bengaluru from 25 to 28 April strongly condemned the violent attack that took place on the Easter Sunday of 2019 in Sri Lanka.
ITA (Indian Theological Association) in its official newsletter conveyed the grief on the fact that the innocent devotees and the foreign nationals residing in hotels were made a subject of the brutal attack. The conference pointed out that children of God are the basic nodal point that unites all religion and such barbaric terrorist attack can never obliterate the same fact. It was 21st April 2019 on the eve of Easter Sunday, the terrorist attacked the Churches and the Hotels in Sri Lanka killing more than 350 precious lives and seriously injuring more than 500 people. The ITA conference stated that the statue of the Risen Jesus with Blood stains in a church of attacks echoes Jesus being crucified today in innocent people and called the act clearly anti-human, anti-civilized and Anti-God.
ITA as a corporate body expressed its solidarity to the battered, bruised and brutalized victims and pledged to extend its support to all the humanitarian endeavours in the cause of same. Indian Theological association concluded its newsletter by wishing the Island Nation, lasting peace and Harmony.
