Indore in Madhya Pradesh, is all ready to witness one among the most glorious moment which is going to take place in the land; the beatification of Sr. Rani Maria, an Indian Syro-Malabar professed religious and a social worker in the Franciscan Clarist Congregation in the Diocese of Indore, who was vocal in matters of social justice which lead to her death at the hands of those who were opposed to her efforts in aiding the poor and downtrodden. The beatification ceremony is expected to take place on November 4, 2017, near St. Francis Assisi Cathedral, at the ground of St. Paul Higher Secondary School.
His Eminence Cardinal Angelo Amato, Italian Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church, who serves as the Prefect of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints, will be the chief celebrant for the beatification ceremony followed by Holy Mass. Special prayers will be conducted at the cemetery of Sr. Rani Maria, at Sacred Heart Church, Udainagar, from 3 pm to 5 pm. The circular of Sr. Rani Maria’s beatification, certified by Holy Father Pope Francis, would be read by His Lordship Cardinal Angelo Amato in Latin and His Eminence Cardinal George Alencherry in English and His Eminence Cardinal Dr. Telesphore Toppo of Ranchi will translate it in Hindi.
More than 50 Cardinals are expected to join the beatification ceremony on the day, which may long till 3hrs. Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan and many more political and religious dignitaries are expected for this divine ceremony on 4th November.
