Baghdad: Iraq’s Chaldea Patriarch Cardinal Rafael Sacco has called for the avoidance of political conflicts in the wake of the coronavirus epidemic. In the event of a pestilence that has engulfed the world and Iraq, it is imperative to save the country from an independent leadership that is seeking to build the country for the future of its children, without joining a political opinion. He said Iraq was passing through an “urgent need to form a national government with integrity, patriotism, impartiality, and credibility when citizens lacked the right to freedom of speech or to discuss politics.”
