Dublin: Eamon Martin, head of the Irish Church and Archbishop of the Diocese of Armagh, dedicated Ireland to the heart of the Mother of God in the Corona context. The Archbishop said that the whole country is now united in prayer, and the clergy and bishops are leading the prayers from their parishes and cathedral churches. When the country is in crisis due to the coronavirus, he urged the Mother of God to seek power and protection.
It was the same day that Pope Francis called upon the believing community to pray “Our Father in Heaven”. Ahead of this, the Irish people have been preparing for Novena prayers since St. Patrick’s Day. The Archbishop said last week that there should be no isolation in the community because of the virus, and that the prayer can be overcome, as Pope Francis urged.
