Kochi: Thank God,anj it took more time to realize God’s will. This was the first response of Mar Peter Kochupurakkal who was elected to help the diocese of Palakkad. I owe a great debt to the Pope and to the Vatican Secretariat and to the Synod, for understanding me as a bishop. He said he was inspired by the affectionate love and care of the Major Archbishop. Mar Peter Kochupurakkal was the first auxiliary bishop of the Diocese of Palakkad in the year 1974.
