Rome, Italy: The bishops visit the cemetery in Italy, where the world’s highest casualties have been reported. Last week, the Italian bishops visited the country’s cemeteries and prayed for the relief of thousands of people who died of coronation. The diocese visited Francesco Beschi at the cemetery in the town of Bergamo in northern Italy and prayed for the souls of the 553 people who died of coronation. Twenty-five diocesan priests have died in the diocese alone.

In a speech broadcast live on March 29, Bishop Beschi said that the city of Bergamo has become like a large cemetery. He added that no one can be seen outside and that can only be seen through the media and social media. Meanwhile, according to a report in Avenir newspaper owned by the Italian bishops’ committee, 87 clergymen have died in Italy as of March 31. More than one-third of deceased dioceses are over 75 years old.

The death of two clergymen in the diocese last week has increased to ten in the diocese of Milan. Four clergymen have died of COVID-19 in the Bolzano diocese of the Italian-Austrian border region. There have been new reports of clergy deaths in the diocese of Vercelli, Turin, La Spezia-Sarsana-Bragnato, Navarro, Reggio Emilia-Guastalla, Udine and Cremona in Italy. COVID 19 has confirmed to 1,15,000 people in Italy as of yesterday. 13,915 people have died.
