Holy Father Pope Francis while addressing the faithful gathered at Casa Santa Marta recalled the Last Supper, in which Jesus teaches love in the Eucharist and service in the washing of the feet. His Holiness Pope Francis conveyed that no servant is greater than the master, reminding the faithful that Jesus left us an example of service and love at the Last Supper. Holy Father also emphasized on the two spiritual gestures of Jesus Christ at the Last Supper – love and humbleness.
As reported by Vatican Radio, Holy Father Pope Francis remarked that “Love is without limits. Without it, the Church cannot move forward; the Church cannot breathe. Without love, she cannot grow and is transformed into an empty institution, made up of appearances and actions without fecundity. In his bodily actions, Jesus tells us how we should love, that is, until the end.”
Holy Father Pope Francis concluded his homily by reminding the significance of love and humbleness in one’s life and asked the faithful to follow what Jesus Christ has taught the mankind.
