His Excellency Louis Raphael, the Head of the Chaldean Catholic Church, conveyed that Joy is the sign of the Church. His Grace Raphael Sako was addressing the faithful crowd gathered at Mount Kakkanad, Kerala, for celebrating the silver-jubilee of ‘Major Archiepiscopal’ status of the Syro-Malabar Church. His Excellency Raphael highlighted the significance of joy in a Christian’s life and reflected on the joy that the Archdiocese of Ernakulam- Angamaly should experience in their ministry.
The Head of the Chaldean Catholic Church remarked that “My Joy will be to you, and that means my Joy will be full. Joy is the sign of the Church. Joy is the sign of Christ to the Christians. Indeed, for Christians, Joy is present and today we, celebrate the Joy of the Major Archiepiscopal status, which has set peace in us.” Further, His Excellency added, “ The Archdiocese of Ernakulam- Angamaly rejoices in the Lord, in his peace and in his love.”
His Grace Raphael Sako concluded his remarks by wishing His Excellency Mar George Alencherry, Major Archbishop of the Syro-Malabar Church, to continue guiding the Church ahead and asked the faithful to pray Holy Father Pope Francis and his pastoral ministries in Rome and also for the Universal Church.
