Kamukinkodu parish in Kerala became the spiritual helping hands for the suffering victims of ‘Ockhi Cyclon’ which hit the state at the end of November 2017. Kamukinkodu parishioners helped the victims by providing them one lakh rupees and the cheque was handed over to J. Mercykutty Amma, the Minister for Fisheries, Harbour Engineering, Cashew Industry, of Kerala.
This good deed by the parishioners was done on the eve of the Church feast held on 30th January 2018. The cheque was handed over by the Vicar of the parish Fr. Valsan Jose, in the presence of K. Ansalan MLA of Neyyatinkara. Neyyatinkara Diocese Vicar General Msgr. J. Christudas offered the keynote speech and Pattambi former MLA C.P.Muhammad also addressed the faithful crowd.
This noble example shown by Kamukinkodu parish could be seen as the best way to celebrate the Church feast.
