Most. Rev. Dr. Aloysius Paul D’souza inaugurated the preparations for the four days regional level Catholic convention, which is to be held in the month of November from 9th to 12th, on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of Catholic Charismatic renewal worldwide, by releasing the posters on 6th August, 2017, at Bishops House. The Charismatic Renewal has brought showers of blessings on the Catholic Church at large and particularly in Mangalore.
Fr. Onil D’souza, the convener of the convention gave brief information on the preparations and Mr. Arun Lobo, the chairman of Mangalore service team welcomed the gathering. The four days convention will have two parts i.e. training in the morning to 500 leaders from 14 Diocese of Karnataka and convention in the evening from 4pm to 8pm in which 10,000 faithful are expected to participate.
The Charismatic Movement has infused a lot of spiritual strength into the tradional mind of the people and has helped to bring about a lot of changes in the lives of the faithful and thus is celebrated as a very special occasion to thank Holy Spirit for the gifts that the faithful have received.
