His Excellency Bishop Mar Joseph Kallarangattu, while addressing the faithful gathered at Aruvithura St. George Forane Church Hall, conveyed that we should together fight against the increasing alcoholism in the world. His Grace Bishop Kallarangattu spoke during the inauguration of the Temperance Sunday observed by KCBC on 18th February, 2018, under the guidance of Temperance Commission.
As reported by lifedayonline.com, Mar Joseph Kallarangattu remarked that “We should not only fight against the increasing alcoholism in the world but also stand united and fight against all the social evils and injustice. To fight against alcoholism should be kept as an important agenda of the Church.”
The meeting was held under the guidance of Aruvithura Forane Vicar Fr. Thomas Vedikkunnel. Rev. Fr. Jacob Vellamaruthunkal, Secretary of Temperance Commission, Fr. Mathew Puthiyidathu, State-Secretary Prasad Kuruvila, Fr. Abraham Thakadiyel, Sr. Annie Kallarangattu, Sr. Reni Mekkalathu, Daisy Mathew, addressed the gathering.
