Kerala Catholic Youth Movement in Palghat Diocese successfully organized and conducted a youth- rally followed by a divine get together at St. Raphael Cathedral Square, on 13th August, 2017. The great day began with the rally from Kottamaithani by 10:00 am, inaugurated by Fr. Mathew Vazhayil, Cathedral Vicar, aiming St. Raphael Cathedral Square, in which around 3000 youth participated. The rally flag was hoisted by RTO. K.C.Maani.The divine get-together was inaugurated by the Honorable Supreme Court Justice, Mr. Kurian Joseph, in the presence of Rev. Fr. David Chiramel, chairman of Kidney Federation of India, Rev. Fr. Cijo Kaarikkattil, Diocesan KCYM director, KCYM State President Mr. Pradeep Mathew, Diocesan Animator Sister Anngrace CHF, Diocesan Vice President Ms. Rosemol Jose, Mr. Jubin Kodiamkunnel, Palghat Diocesan President and other dignitaries.
Honorable Supreme Court Justice, Mr. Kurian Joseph remarked that “The youth should make their valuable presence known at every stage of development without being a slave to drugs and Medias.” His Excellency Bishop Jacob Manathodath, the serving Bishop of Palghat Diocese reflected that “Youth is the Glorious phase of one’s life and so the youth should be vibrant and active enough to do many glorious things in this stage of life by dedicating themselves to be a witness of the Lord Almighty.” Rev. Fr. David Chiramel encouraged the young faithful to overcome the challenges by facing it with boldness and a strong mindset. Ebin Kannivayalil, general convener of the event offered a vote of thanks at the end.
The event very well portrayed the energy of the youth of Palghat Diocese and has set an example to be a true witness of Jesus Christ through faith, unity and hard work.
