Kochi: The Kerala Region Latin Catholic Council (KRLCC) has given away awards to individuals who have demonstrated their talents and potentials in various sectors of society. Manimalakun Govt. School headmaster Prof Rex who is also a poet, was awarded the Gurushreshta Award. The media award was presented to renowned journalist and author, Jacob. Playwright Francis T. Mavelikkara was awarded the literary award.
Joseph Nelikkal, who has directed art in Hollywood and Indian cinema, has been conferred with the Kalapratibha Award and the National Secretary of the National Fisheries Forum, Peter won the Community Builder Award. K X Benedict who was the inventor of more than 70 discoveries, was awarded the Academic Award and VA Veda, the leading coir industry in Alappuzhas Mr. Joseph was awarded the Entrepreneur Award, the playwright and teacher. Beatrix Alex was also presented with the Knowledge Literature Award.
