KOCHI: The Kerala Regional Latin Catholic Bishops Council has urged the Central and State Governments to seek justice for the non-resident expatriates who are anxious not to return to their homeland in the wake of the COVID 19 pandemic. It would not be fair to dismiss the expatriates who contributed indisputably to the development of the country during the Kovid era. All systems of the country should be used to return, protect and serve them.

It is exemplary that the State is protecting the guest workers who make small and large contributions to the development of Kerala. The authorities should also make special arrangements for guest workers who wish to return home. Do not tend to treat guest workers as enemies. Precautions must be taken to prevent them from gaining political advantage. KRLCBC Migrants Commission Chairman Bishop Dr. Sebastian Thekethercheril on behalf of the Kerala Lutheran Bishop said that the diaspora would be facilitated in the church’s hospitals.
