Rome: Cardinal Gerard Ludwig Muller, former head of the Vatican Congregation, says that instead of being disappointed in the epidemic, we must trust our eyes in Jesus and believe that we are in God’s hands. In a video released on March 30, Cardinal Muller reminded us that our lives are going to last for eternity, but instead of despairing in these moments of great sadness and suffering, we must stand with Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
Quoting the phrase “in Him we live, we die, and we live” (Acts 17:28), the Cardinal said that Jesus is the beginning and the end of our lives. He invited believers to turn this special situation of confinement into a moment of great blessing from God. We should seek to deepen our relationship with God through personal prayers, listening to the Word of God, meditating on the mysteries of the way of the cross. The video of the cardinal ends with the request of the divine medium to extinguish the threat of the wrath of God on the people and to eliminate the threat around them.
