The Liturgical Research Centre of the Syro-Malabar Church organizes its 55th research seminar on the Growth and Orientations of the Syro-Malabar Church. The seminar is organized in connection with the Silver Jubilee of the Syro-Malabar Church in Major Archiepiscopal Status. The research papers in the seminar will be mainly focusing on the Historical Appraisal of the Syro-Malabar Church.
Historico-Canonical perspective of the SMC as Sui Iuris Church; Synodal Structure and Juridical Status of the Syro-Malabar Church: Canonical Implications & Challenges; Expansion and Growth of the Pastoral Care of the Syro-Malabar Church – Analysis of the Recent Papal Letter; Development of the SMC towards the Global Identity; the Role of the SMC in the Socio-Political Space of the Kerala Community; Spiritual Orientations of the SMC; Liturgical Contributions – Renewal Ahead and the focus of the SMC in Evangelization through the lay participation, will be the main papers that would be discussed in the seminar.
