Chedikulam: Former Vicar General of the Diocese of Muzaffarpur in Bihar and a native of Chedikulam in the Archdiocese of Thalassery, Rev. Fr. Matthew Orathel died in an accident. While returning from a visit to the Corrigan Mission area in the diocese yesterday afternoon. The priest was hit by a motorcycle. The body was placed for public viewing at St. Francis of Assisi Cathedral, Muzaffarpur. Rev. Fr. Matthew was due to return next month. He is the son of the late Mathew and Thresia of Chedikulam. The ordination of Rev. Fr. Mathew was conducted in January 1995. The funeral will be held later.
