His Excellency Mar Mathew Anikuzhikkattil, the former Bishop of Idukki diocese during his farewell/ retirement ceremony gave an inspirational message to the faithful gathered for the function on 5th April, 2018. His Grace Mar Anikuzhikattil assured his presence in the needs of the faithful and highlighted that he will not stop his ministry even after the retirement and said that this retirement is a period to gain more strength to carry out his ministries.
As reported by lifedayonline.com, Mar Mathew Anikuzhikkattil remarked that “I thank God for selecting a good successor for this position. Mar John Nellikkunnel is a good thinker and he will be able to give more strength to the faithful. The young Bishop will be able to guide everyone together and he will be able to prepare and execute various developmental plans for the diocese.”
Mar Anikuzhikkattil concluded his remarks by extending his gratitude towards everyone for their support and thanked Lord Almighty for enabling him to work for the last 15 years for the diocese effectively.
