Kottayam: Bishop Mar Jose Pulikal congratulated all social services sects of all dioceses who have been actively cooperating with the government system in the Kovid pestilence. He also urged all social service groups to work effectively and innovatively to ensure that Kovid’s survival is sustainable. KCBC Justice Peace and Development Commission Chairman Mar Jose Pulikal pointed out that the church’s social ministry is one in which the attitude of Christ towards the poor and disadvantaged is shared by all, regardless of caste or religion.
Bishop was delivering the presidential address at a video conference held in the presence of the directors of Caritas India in association with the directors of the social services sections of the Catholic diocese of Kerala. Caritas India Director Fr. Paul Mooneyley, Assistant Director Fr. Jolly Puthenpura, Director, Kerala Social Service Forum George Vettikkattil, Joint Director Fr. Michael Vettikkat, Assigned Director Fr. Jacob Mavungal led the discussions. Directors of the 32 Catholic dioceses in Kerala participated in the video conferences attended by the directors of each of the dioceses and discussed the outline for future activities.
