Kanjirappally: Mar Jose Pulikal was sworn in as the new bishop of the Diocese of Kanjirappally today. Services were held at 10:30 am today at St. Dominic’s Cathedral. Major Archbishop Cardinal Mar George Alencherry will lead the Syro-Malabar Qurbana. Archbishop Mar Joseph Perunthottam and Mar Mathew Arakkal will collaborate.
Mar Joseph Pavathil, the first bishop of the diocese, delivered the Ecclesiastical Sermon on the occasion. Varghese Chakkalakkal also deliver the message. The Diocese will pay tribute to Mar Mathew Arakkal. Presidents of various churches will speak at the conference post the liturgical services.
