Changanassery: The Archbishopdiocese of Changanacherry will hold a celebration for the Ninetieth Birthday of the former Archbishop Mar Joseph Pavathil, at St. Mary’s Metropolitan Parish Hall on February 7th at 2 pm. The Syro-Malabar Church Major Archbishop Cardinal Mar George Alencherry will inaugurate the event. Major Archbishop of the Syro-Malankara Church, Cardinal Mar Baselios Cleemis Bawa will deliver the blessing speech. The Bishop of Eisenstadt, Austria Ajidiyu Jonan will be the chief guest.
Archbishop Mar Joseph Perunthottam, Mar Thoma Church President Joseph Mar Thoma Metropolitan, Kanjirapally Bishop Mar Mathew Arakkal, and Cochin Bishop Dr. Joseph Curry, Former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, CF. Thomas MLA, Dr. Sister Mercy Nedumburam; Dominic Joseph will also speak. The Postal Department is releasing a postage stamp with a picture of Mar Joseph Pavathil in connection with the occasion. The release of the stamp will take place on the 31st at 4.30 pm at the Speaker of the Assembly. Sri Ramakrishnan will release.
