Washington, DC: A March for Life pro-life rally with the slogan “Save the Life” will be held in Washington, DC. US President Donald Trump is joining the rally as the first president to attend the event. This year, for the first time, a president is participating in the march, which is organized every year by pro-life organizations fighting to abolish abortion rights. The rally is being held on the anniversary of the Supreme Court’s verdict in the ‘Row vs. Word’ case that legalized abortion in the US.

At the same time, the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception began with a vigil in anticipation of the March for Life. Eucharistic service will be held at 6:00 am Indian time (4.30 pm). Followed by morning prayer. The vigil prayer concludes with the divine sacrifice offered at 7.30am. Chief of Staff is Timothy Broglio, Archbishop of the Military Service. The rally will commence at 12 noon. Constitution Avenue will close in front of the Supreme Court building on Capitol Hill. It will remain silent for a while before the Supreme Court.

Afterward, the March for Life activists will speak with their senators about the need to save lives. The organizers said the march, which will be held in front of the Supreme Court building, should not contain provocative slogans or such placard displays, as usual, thanking God, renewing friendships and singing songs. Hundreds of Malayalees will participate in the rally. The Malayalees will come under the banner of ‘4 Life’ formed with the support of the Syro-Malabar Diocese of Chicago and the Diocese of North America. Vice President Mike Pence attended last year’s rally. Trump then addressed the rally via video message.
