His Excellency Bishop Mar James Athikkalam, the newly elected Bishop for the Eparchy of Sagar, while addressing the faithful gathered for the concluding ceremony of Mission Seminar at Ambara Deepti, conveyed that to be a missionary is our heart’s perception. His Grace Bishop Athikkalam highlighted to be spiritually prepared to overcome all the challenges that the Church faces today.
His Excellency Mar George Madathikandathil, Bishop of Kothamangalam, had inaugurated the two days seminar which was held with an intention to focus on religious vocations and to increase one’s faith. Fr. Kurian Ammanathukunnel offered his keynote speech in the presence of many religious people and priests who came together from across the country to attend the seminar.
The ecclesiastical provision of this new appointment of Bishop Athikkalam was made public in Rome on Friday, 12th January, 2018, at noon local time, corresponding to 16:30 hours, Indian Standard Time.
