Mon. Peter Kochupurakkal, the first aide of the diocese of Palakkad was anointed yesterday. Bishop Mar Jacob Manathodath led the services. Bishop Mar Joseph Kallarangadu and Bishop Mar Pauli Kannukkadan of Iringalakuda co-celebrated the Holy Mass.
Thrissur Archbishop Mar Andrews delivered the message. He called on believers in the diocese of Palakkad to work in the communion of the early church with the diocese and with the anointed Mar Peter Kochupurakkal for help. The Bishop Peter Abeer Antonisamy represented the Latin Church. Bishop Yuhanon Mar Theodosius of Muvattupuzha representing the Malankara Church was also present at the occasion. Ministries were held without the participation of believers in the Covid context.
