Georgia: Sixty-five thousand young people in the United States welcome the New Year in praise of Jesus as the world embraces the New Year in a state of material luxury. More than half a million young people embrace New Year’s Eve with worship, prayer and Bible instruction at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. The most notable New Year arrival was held as part of the “Passion 2020” conference centered on Christ from December 31, 2019 to New Year’s Eve to January 2.
Forty thousand people attended last year’s conference. This time around a quarter increase. It is estimated that the arrival of the New Year with others, food, drink, music, and so many young people worshiping Jesus is indicative of a shift in the faith of American youth. The passion music of the Passion Band also took place during the event. The keynote speakers included Tim Tebow, Ravi Zacharias, Christine Kane, Levi Lusko, John Piper and Sadie Robertson. Hillsong United, Lecre Carrie Job, Cody Carnes, Elevation Music, Crowder, Tripp Lee, Andy Minio, Social Club Misfits, Tedashi and Sean Kuran led worship music. According to the conference’s website, the “Passion 2020” conference is more than just an event, in which you and I say goodbye to the little things in life and say “yes” to Jesus above every name.
As part of the program, the students had raised funds for six thousand languages and a “Share Light” project to produce Bible translations. Louis Giglio said that participating in the translation of the Holy Scriptures is one of the practical ways to spread the light of Christ by supporting the “Share Light” project. Last year, it raised $ 4 million.
