The International Film Fare on the life of St. Theresa of Calcutta is attracting people from all walks of the life. In fact, it has become an occasion for the faithful in the Roman Catholic community in Goa and well wishers to commemorate and pray to St. Teresa.  The ongoing festival which will end on 11th January has garnered lots of love from the public as all 9 shows everyday have packed audiences.

The films are showed in two theatres in Panjim and Margoa and passes are provided for free. Says Fr. Olava, director of DCSMC, “we mainly targeted children, the disabled and other such institutions. Also, for the working people, evening shows are organized”. On world peace and Mother, Fr. Olava says, “Mother Teresa was a personality that inspired the whole world and whole humanity. Surely, what her film shows is values of truth. She is an inspiration to us to share the message of truth and harmony.” The speciality of this film festival that makes it different from others is that, usually film festivals have many topics, many personality, many genres. But, the entire aura of this festival is St. Teresa’s life.

The festival aims to bring in the minds of people, especially the disabled and the forbidden, that love still exists in the world and each one of us must become that love.
