As a part of St. Thomas Missionary Society’s Golden Jubilee, on 19th February, 2018, the society has arranged a missionary union for the faithful. The union will begin after 3pm with the Holy Mass at MST Headquarters, Deepti. Mar Antony Kariyil, Mandya Diocese Chairman, will be the chief celebrant for the Holy Mass. His Excellency Auxiliary Bishop Mar Thomas Tharayil of Changanassery will be the chief guest for the union.
A family union was held on 18th February as a part of the celebration. His Excellency Mar Thomas Elavanal, Bishop of Kalyan Diocese, was the chief celebrant for the Holy Mass and His Grace Bishop Mar James Athikalam of Sagar was the chief guest for the evening celebrations and conference. Mar James Athikalam remarked that “ A missionary is called to be a martyr and the one who runs away from struggles and sufferings can never be a good missionary in life.”
MST Director Gen. Fr. Kurian Ammanathukunnel led the conference. Jose K Mani MP, Rosakutty Teacher, Sr. Navya Mariya CMC, addressed the gathering.
