Kochi: Cardinal Mar George Alencherry, Syro-Malabar Major Archbishop has been elected President of the Kerala Catholic Bishops’ Council. The decision was taken at the KCBC meeting held at Palarivattom POC. Mar George Alencherry comes in the wake of the resignation of Archbishop Suspakyam. Bishop Varghese Chakkalakkal is the Vice-President of Calicut Diocese. Joseph Mar Thomas, Diocese of Bathery has been elected as the general secretary.v
