Rev. Dr. Abraham Palathinkal has been appointed as the new vicar general of Shamshabad Diocese of Syro Malabar Church. Rev. Abraham is a member of Palghat Diocese. His Excellency Bishop Mar Raphael Thattil of Shamshabad had requested His Excellency Bishop Mar Jacob Manathodath of Palghat Diocese to appoint Rev. Abraham Palathinkal as the new vicar general for three years.
The newly appointed vicar general Rev. Dr. Abraham is a former KYCM Director, has worked as a vicar in many churches, was pssp executive secretary, has worked in Kottayam seminari as a professor. Rev. Abraham has also proved his expertise being the PRO of the diocese and had been a member of Karshaka Jaagratha Committee.
