Abuja: One of four medical students abducted from a Major seminary located in the state of Kaduna in Nigeria has been released with serious injuries. One of the attackers was released after serving ten days in jail. A seminary student who was critically injured was left by the militants on January 18 on the side of the Katuna-Abuja Highway in Nigeria. He is being treated in the Intensive Care Unit of the Catholic Hospital in Kaduna. There are spots on the body that are brutally tortured. The other three remain in the grip of terrorists.

Shortly after ten o’clock on the night of January 8, armed men attacked the Good Shepherd Major Seminary and shot and killed the students. No further details have been released about the attackers. According to a recent report by the Christian charity Open Doors, Nigeria ranks 12th on the list of countries with the highest number of Christian persecution cases.
