Kochi: Major Archbishop Cardinal Mar George Alencherry said that only those who see the heart of God can grow in holiness. He was speaking at the inauguration of the Newman Association Christmas and New Year love affairs. He added that Cardinal Newman was referring to his church entry as “the heart was united to the heart that was the glowing light of God’s love.”
The heart means Christ. It was a union with Christ. Mary Thrace and Cardinal Newman are one day holy. Saint Mary Thresa says that you give your heart to Jesus. He also said that the two have given their love for Christ to the community.
Retired Justice Syriac Joseph delivered the keynote address at a meeting presided over by the Newmen’s Association of Kerala at Lumen Jothis, Kaloor. Justice Syriac Joseph pointed out that some missionaries have a mission to work for the good of the church and for the betterment of society.
Justice Syriac Joseph said members of the Newman’s Association had a responsibility to act with the dignity and dignity of the Catholic faith in mind. Babu Joseph, Former Vice-Chancellor of Cochin University, Fr. Abraham Adapoor spoke. Newman’s Association office bearers included Fr. Dr. Binoy Pichlakkad, Dr. KM Mathew, Sabu Jose, Adv. Roy Chacko and Joseph Anjiparampil led the way.
