PALA: The Diocese of Palau is ready to release the hostels and Mission League home of the expatriates who are returning home in the face of fear of Kovid. The St. Mary’s Hostel of St. Joseph’s Engineering College, which is under the diocese, and St. Thomas’ Hostel, the home of the Mission League, located in Puram, has been announced. Commenting on this, Diocesan President Mar Joseph Kallarangat released a statement titled ‘Kadesh Barnea Decision Time and Time.’
There is an uncertainty regarding expatriates. For those who wish to return home, arrangements should be made to register them through the Embassy of Norka in consultation with the State and Central Government as soon as possible. Concerned expatriates should be repatriated after lockdown. Pregnant children, especially those who have gone on a visa, are geriatric. The right of expatriates to leave home is their right.
They are an integral part of this country. The government does not need to look at the generosity shown to them to try to get them back. Their labors are the result of many of them found in the country. According to media reports, there are more people from the Gulf countries who are interested in returning home. That too is unlikely to be out of control. It is not right to take negative actions with their desire. It is hoped that the government will be able to repatriate those who are struggling abroad.
Advanced checking facilities should be prepared when they return. The first thing to do is to provide accommodation for Quarantine for those who have a symptom or risk. In its statement, the three dioceses in Pala diocese are willing to give up their quarantine when they return.
