In this winter season, the coldest season of year, the Enthuzia 2k17 brought warmth to the youngsters of the Eparchy of Kalyan. The Youth day, where more than 600 people attended, was organized by the Kalyan Eparchy Youth on 08th of January, 2017 at the open space of the Animation and Renewal Centre, Panvel.
The Enthuzia was an invitation for the youngsters to stand against the social evils. It was well explained through the concept of Pappettan, ‘ a superhero who has no superpowers but with his super will fights against social evils. Making everyone realize that all of us can be Pappettan’.
The Day began with the celebration of the Holy Mass and it was followed by the public meeting, where Chevalier MG Philip was felicitated. 11 teams participated in the KEY Band competition, where the Antophill, Thane and Kalyan Foranes secured the first three positions. MSgr. Emmanuel Kadankavil presided over the concluding ceremony and the awards for the best three foranes (Malad, Thane and Antophill) were distributed. A special award was given to the South Mumbai Forane as the ‘Emerging Forane’. The directors and DEXCOs worked hard to make the day a memorable one for the participants.
