Emmylou Talino-Mendoza, member of House of Representatives of the Philippines, announced to conduct a peace builders camp for youth that will start from July 19, 2017. The local authorities in the country are boosting up the children and youth to promote peace by having unity with the Muslim communities in the country.
As reported by ucanews.com, Talino-Mendoza conveyed that “The camp will instill the importance of peace and respect for religions in the minds of young people.” Further, she added, “ It will also make the youth appreciate the importance of peace and their role in building and advocating for a peaceful community.”
Talino-Mendoza has also requested the parents of the youth to join the camp in order to understand the significance of peace and the way in which it can be practiced in the country.
