Oklahoma: Chapter 4, Chapter 6 of St. Paul’s Epistle to the Philippians was selected as the world’s most popular Bible verse this year. “Don’t worry about anything. Offer your prayers with thanksgiving through prayer and supplication,” says the free Bible app, the most widely read, shared and bookmarked worldwide. “Don’t be afraid. Do not be afraid. I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will uphold you with the victory of my right hand ”(Isaiah 41:10).
The new version of the Your version app released last year is a big leap. The number of app users has increased by 30% this year. In 2019, 35.6 billion Bible chapters were read, 5.6 billion chapters were heard, 200 billion chapters were marked, and 47.8 billion chapters were shared and bookmarked. This year alone, the app received over 5 billion new users from outside the United States. Algeria, Chad, Poland, Bangladesh, and Morocco saw the largest increase in the number of subscribers.
The Universal Bible App was the brainchild of Bobby Grunewald, pastor of Life Church in Edmond, Oklahoma. The app can read, listen to the Bible and analyze the Bible. Launched as the world’s first Bible app through the iPhone App Store, the app now has 2,013 written versions of the Bible in 1343 languages and 527 audio versions in 417 languages. Everson’s collaborators say that by 2033, 95 percent of the world’s population will have complete Bible translations in their own language.
