Social Communication and Mass Media Commission President Hubert commented that social media should be used efficiently to evangelize the community. He was speaking at a conference in Mandaluyong, near Manila, on November 16, on behalf of missionaries using the Catholic Community media on the theme “Effective Communication of the Gospel.”
The central message of God’s mercy and love needs to be communicated urgently. Our mission is to share the central message of Jesus’ life-saving love right now. The Bishop reminded Pope Francis’ message that all people should have a compassionate and heartfelt dialogue, and added that the community should turn to social media for a fraternal and supportive society. Around 200 delegates participated in the conference organized by Youthpinoy, which describes itself as “Online Missionaries” in collaboration with the Media Commission of the Philippines Bishop Committee and Ariopagus INC.
