Thodupuzha, Kerala: Catholic Congress Global Committee President Biju Parayannilam has urged the need for Christian Missionaries to be allowed independent environment, to work for social welfare. Of late, it is observed that missionaries all over India are trapped in forged Cases and sent behind bars. This has caused fear and disturbance for various congregations, who strive to bring reforms in the interiors of the country. The cruelty against innocent missionaries, who have left their kin to serve the underprivileged section of the society, has increased over time.

According to his statements, such brutalities are part of a greater conspiracy that intends to break the Catholic Church. The arrest of Rev. Fr. Binoy John Vadakedathuparanpil, Catholic priest from Kerala and his team, from the mission diocese of Bhagalpur, on the charges of forcefully converting the localities had attracted national attention.

“The innocent priest was arrested under false charges,” said Parayannilam. He continued to reveal that the police didn’t even ensure a proper investigation after the arrest. In a recent plea, he requested the central government to take immediate action to prevent the present atrocities meted out to the dedicated missionaries.
