Vatican City: The Holy Father has expressed deep disappointment on the death of Syrian Priests who laid their lives in persecution by the ISIS, for their faith. He netted out his feelings through his official Twitter account @pontifex on November 12. ‘I am close to Armenian Catholics of Qamishli, in Syria, as they gather for the funeral of their parish priest, Fr. Hovsep Bedoyan, who was killed yesterday together with his father. I pray for them, their families and for all Christians in Syria,’ said the Pontiff.
Fr. Hovsep Bedoyan was on his way to assess the situation at the Catholic Church in Deir Al- Zor as the aftermath of civil war. He along with his father, Abraham Bedoyan were shot dead by the ISIS militants.
