His Holiness Pope Francis has accepted the resignation of His Grace Rt. Rev. Prasad Gallela as Bishop of Cuddapah, and has appointed His Excellency Rt. Rev. Gali Bali, Bishop Emeritus of Guntur, as Apostolic Administrator sede vacante et ad nutum Sanctae Sedis of the Diocese of Cuddapah.
Catholic Bishops Conference of India (CBCI) expressed gratitude to His Grace Bishop Prasad Gallela for his dedicated services to the Church in Cuddapah and the Church in India, and entrusted him to the intercession of Our Lady, Queen of Apostles.
The announcement took place in Rome on Monday, 10th December, 2018, at noon, corresponding to 4:30 p.m. Indian time.
